Meaning of the Name

Isaac : "He will laugh"
Joseph: "The Lord's addition (to the family)" (Seems appropriate when you look at the meaning, huh?)
Lucas: Form of Luke: "Light, Illumination"

Which Name should we choose

Okay we have narrowed it down to these 3 names. THANKS A BUNCH for your votes! WE JUST CANNOT AGREE. So I am giving in a little. I chose the girl name so I decided to let Erik have a say in the boy! So these are the 3 he likes! The poll will end on April 1st. We will then make our decision then! STAY TUNED!!

UP ALL NIGHT

So last night was our WORST night with "Hadleigh". (by the way we are starting to call her that now) :) I fed her STAGE 2 blueberries with apples and Carrots for dinner last night! WELL apparently that didn't sit too well on her tummy! She would fall asleep in my arms and then all of the sudden wake up screaming with tummy pains! I FELT SOOOOOO AWFUL!! So Erik volunteered to go to Wal Mart at 11:00 to get some Mylecon. She was up and down literally ALL night. I think we finally went to sleep about 4:30 A.M. only to have to get up at 7! My how things change when you have children! I give props to all the MOM's out there! I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who will get up in the middle of the night to help! So then when she woke up this morning at 8 she was running a bit of a fever...( which really stinks b/c we are going to Corpus this weekend) so Erik took her to the Dr. Well thankfully she just has a bit of a cold with some congestion! NOTHING contagious!! Thank you LORD!! I am so anxious to meet baby KYA.

Valentine's Day

This was part of Erik's Valentine!

What did I get? I got a Gift Certificate for a massage! WOOHOO!!! We went to Olive Garden for dinner and to see Fool's Gold. I forgot to take pics of the babies in their Valentine outfits before they went to bed...so maybe I will tomorrow.

NAME SEARCH

I know it sounds crazy, but we really feel like it is important to change our babies names once we adopt them. For a few reasons: 1. We want anonymity (is that how you spell that)? we don't want a name so close to what they have now that someone might find them. 2. We just think that we should be able to make it our own instead of a nickname to their birth name.

So we have come up with a name for Alli:
Her new name will most likely be Hadleigh Jane Lankford.

But not so much luck with Joey. So we are up for some suggestions. Here are some that we like (or at least I do anyway--Erik is not sold on anything I have come up with :) ) These names are actually names that are "INSPIRED" (Nymbler) by my PaPa's name which is Reuben Lonnie. Or if you can come up with something out of his name we are up for that too!

DATES TO REMEMBER

So the trial dates for the babies are set for MAY.
MAY 1ST for JOEY
MAY 22ND for ALLI

At this time on these dates the judge will determine termination of rights. Then on the 31st day after the rights are terminated we can proceed with the adoption papers. This DOES NOT guarantee the adoption. There is still a 90 day "waiting" period from the date of termination for someone to come into the picture. Erik and I are still very positive about the whole situation...but not getting our hopes too high! We love our babies and know the Lord has a plan. Thanks for all your prayers.

What our day is like

7:30 am: Wake up and eat Breakfast: Joey & Alli have some fruit and some milk
8:30 am: Off to school we go (except on Mondays...usually) or lots of PLAY TIME
10:00 am: NAP TIME: Joey usually sleeps for 1 1/2 to 2 hours
Alli only for about 45 minutes
12:00 pm: Lunch: Some yummy Veggies (Stage 1 for Alli and Stage 2 for Joey) and fruit too
12:30 pm- 2 pm: PLAY PLAY PLAY
Joey is crawling all over the place and pulling up on stuff: his favorite toy is the LEAP FROG table...he loves to play the guitar
Alli is rolling over, with no interest in crawling yet..she's pretty laid back, but she LOVES to jump in the rainforest jumper
2 pm: NAP TIME
4 pm: SNACK TIME: Joey loves him some puffs and Alli is trying to get the hang of it
5:30 pm: DINNER some more veggies and fruit
6-8 pm: PLAY TIME
8 pm: Bath
8:30 pm: Story time and off to BED

Finally they are both sleeping through the night for the most part. Alli wakes sometimes and wants her pacifier. We are getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep now! YIPPEE
