6 Years Married: JULY 13, 2008

On this day Erik and I were married for 6 years! I cannot believe how fast it has gone by! I wish I was a great writer and could write a great story for everyone, but I am a terrible writer although it is easier for me to write things down than to say them out loud. I prefer to just post pictures....in case you couldn't tell! But none the less it has been an almost GREAT six years despite some minor ups and downs. But as for my husband I will say that he has been so good to me! He pretty much lets me have whatever I want...heeeheeeheee!! I always find something to complain about even though he does a lot of things around the house. He ALWAYS does the dishes, b/c I HATE to do them. He is such a WONDERFUL dad...our children adore him! In the past 6 years we have traveled a lot...which we love to do! We have owned 2 houses..which is so crazy. You feel like a real adult when you get to buy a house! Anyway, I know I never tell him what a great job he is doing, and I am not very good at encouraging him, but he is great at his job both at church and with his family!

So for our anniversary we went to eat at August E's in Fredericksburg. Our friend Molly Harper suggested it and it was WONDERFUL! We had an awesome waiter and we even got FREE dessert b/c it was our anniversary. Erik had a steak with potatoes and asparagus and a yummy salad, and I had the Lobster Tempura Roll (sushi) and a yummy salad! It was so great! We had ice cream for dessert! If you have never been you really have to go here! It was FANTASTIC!!

Sea World

This was Isaac's first trip to Sea World. Yes we only took Isaac. We were originally going as sponsors for Greg's youth trip, but he ended up not really needing us. We figured it would be too hard to take both and be sponsors at the same time. Anyway, needless to say we spent most of our time at the kiddie pool & he LOVED it!!! We pet the dolphins and went into the aquarium. We did see a couple of shows, but mostly played in the water!! We can't wait to go back and take Hadleigh as well!!

4th of July

My mom was the only one of my grandmother's children at the family reunion. She has 2 brothers and a sister.



The Aldridge Family: Some LONGTIME friends of ours from Midland. Nick and I grew up with this family. They have 3 boys and Brandon (in the yellow shorts) was one of Nick's best friends. We visited them while we were in Dallas.





For the 4th of July we went to Plano for a Family Reunion. We watched Fireworks on Friday night and then on Saturday went to the park to see all of our family. This is my grandmother on my mom's side of the family. My grandma has 4 sisters and so there were a lot of people there. Some we haven't seen in many years. It was the first time for almost all of them to meet Hadleigh and Isaac so that was fun. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Surfside Beach Part 2

Well it's been a while since I posted. Things have been crazy around here. I will try to get caught up this week. We'll see. So Erik, Hadleigh, Isaac, Mema and me all drove together to Surfside to meet Scott, Leighanne, Jayden, Payten and Madison. Here are some other photos from our week. We mostly spent the morning on the beach, came in for lunch and spent the afternoon on the beach. We cooked in our condo and grilled out one night and even had smores. We (Pay, Madi, Jay, Scott and I) attempted to fish. Also among the adventures was the rescue of an injured bird. We had a blast. If I would have posted this sooner I probably would have given a few more details, but if I want to get caught up I better move along. Hope you enjoy!
