15 month check up

Went to the doctor today for Isaac and Hadleigh's 15 month check up! Isaac had to get 3 shots and Hadleigh had to get 2. She also informed me that they both got their Hepatitis B shot before the age of 6 months so they will need it again. I am so NOT happy about this! I am still not sure that I want them to have these dumb immunizations anyway.
Isaac weighed 22.8 pounds and is 31.25 inches TALL! All is well with him, and we scheduled his circumcision with a Urologist for November 25th! Hadleigh weighs 22 pounds and is 30 inches TALL! While the doctor was looking at her eyes she noticed that there could be mild EXOTROPIA in her left eye! So now we will schedule an appointment for her to see a pediatric ophthalmologist. Anyway, they are healthy and they also checked for anemia and their blood was good so they are eating enough fruits and veggies to get their iron!! YEAH!
Oh and after I posted this the Pediatrician called to say that our previous Doctor's office did not send all of the vaccinations over. They sent another fax around 2:00 pm with an updated vaccination form, so my kids ended up getting a vaccination TWICE. I AM SO MAD!!!

Hardin Simmons Homecoming

October 11-12, Hadleigh and I went to Hardin Simmons Homecoming with some great friends of ours, The Siberts: Jon, Andrea, Brooke and Cameron!


As soon as we got in to Abilene we had to go eat at one of our FAVORITE places! CAHOOTS. Fortunately for Jon, it is now Cahoots and Joe Allen's all in one, so we had Catfish and BBQ!! We stayed at what used to be the Embassy Suites! It was crazy there! Apparently they had some kind of party going on with loud music until after 2 in the morning! Saturday we went over to the school to walk around and the kids played at the Cowpoke Posse play area.

Hadleigh and Cameron LOVED sliding down the slide!!Hardin Simmons has this cool new wall with the names of everyone who have graduated from HSU. You can take a piece of paper and use the purple crayon to get a copy of your name! I found mine and Erik's name...proof that we did graduate!

We met our friends John and Melissa Whitworth at ABUELO's for lunch after the kids were done playing at the Cowpoke playground. It was so yummy! It just so happens that Jon, John and I were actually all ther in the fall of 97 together! SMALL WORLD!! Then we all went to the football game! Hadleigh had so much fun playing with Brooke and Cameron! She was worn out, which was a good thing, b/c we were traveling home after the game was over and she slept the WHOLE way! YEAH!!

SESAME STREET

Well my kids OFFICIALLY love Sesame Street. Isaac starts dancing before I even turn the sound on! He just sees the picture on the TV and the arms go up! It's so cute! They, of course, NEVER pay attention to the whole thing, but sometimes something will catch their attention and they just freeze in front of the tv. They especially love ELMO's WORLD and Murray Had a Little Lamb!

HPU Homecoming!

The first weekend of October we attended Howard Payne's Homecoming. In case you don't know Erik went there for his undergraduate work. We met his friend Chase and daughter and Chase's parents there as well. Erik got to see a few of his friends and one of his old professors. Other than that there was not much to it. We went to the parade on Saturday which was AWEFUL!!! I think there were maybe 4 "REAL" floats there. Here are some snapshots!
