In July of 2012 we welcomed Isaac's biological brother to our family. Jaiden's adoption finalized on Feb 14, 2013. On November 21, 2012 we welcomed Mollie Ryan in to our home to bring us up to 5 children. We live in Aspermont, TX. I have been doing photography for 9 years. I shoot with the CANON 5D Mark II in hopes of buying the 1D eventually. My favorite lenses are the 70-200 2.8 IS and the 85mm prime! THANKSGIVING!!!

First of all we have so much to be THANKFUL for this year! The Lord has blessed us with 2 BEAUTIFUL children whom we adopted and it has been so AMAZING! I don't even have the words to say! We are thankful that Mema lives in town and helps babysit ALL the time! Erik and I both have jobs that we LOVE! We are so THANKFUL for all the friendships that we have endured over the course of our marriage together! We have so many GREAT friends!

"GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER."
PSALM 107:1

Here is a fun slideshow from Thanksgiving. We traveled to Pampa to visit my Grandmother and family!! Hadleigh left with Mema on Tuesday to head that way. We stayed here while Isaac had his consultation for his circumcision and his Thanksgiving feast at school on Wednesday!! We got to meet all of Grandpa James' family and Uncle Rod and Troi, and Aunt Gin and Uncle Lou and Alison, Nathan and Jack! The kids played really good together as long as they were outside (besides fighting over the green broom). We ate turkey, ham, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls and much much more!! On our way home Erik and I brought both babies back with us so we decided it would be best if we stopped and spent the night half way in Abilene!! MUCH more pleasant than traveling the full 7 1/2 hours!!

"The Wheels on the Bus"

I am working on editing and uploading pictures from Thanksgiving, but in the mean time I NEEDED to share these videos of Isaac singing!

To start off, his teacher at school was sharing a story with me the other day about how their class was all in a circle (EXCEPT ISAAC) singing "The Wheels on the Bus". Isaac, however, was over at one of the drawers "playing". So his teacher went over to get him and bring him back with the rest of the class and he was getting The Wheels on the Bus book out of the drawer! HOW SMART IS HE?? Hee Hee Hee!!!!!

(PLEASE MUTE THE MUSIC (all the way down at the bottom) so you can hear him sing)

School Portraits

These are the kids school portraits this year! I think they look so 'big' when they are walking and you can see their entire outfit from head to toe!! I LOVE IT!

They did pretty good, no crying at least!! I CANNOT get Isaac to smile for the life of me when trying to take his picture in the studio! He just gets so solemn! BUT, I can say that I think he is too cute ANYWAY!! I don't always need the "smiley" picture!!

In September, once the adoption was complete we moved the kids over to CHILDREN'S DAY OUT at our church. They went from going Monday - Friday from 8-5 to ONLY going 2 days a week: Tues/Thurs from 9-1! Boy was this an adjustment for me!!! :) All of that is to say that we moved just in time for ME to take their school portraits!!! YEAH!

Here are a few photos from our trip to Universal Studios. There are only a few b/c I hardly took any pictures, but it was a nice fun, fast get-a-way! It's been over a month ago that we went and Erik's mom came in town to watch the babies! Erik had a conference so he left on Sunday and I flew out on Wednesday to meet him!

Margaritaville...didn't have time to go visit though, but it looked like fun!

This was the COOOOOOLEST log ride EVER!!! The photo doesn't really do it much justice to show you how STEEP this ride was! And when you come out of the hole it LITERALLY shoots you out so fast! OMGoodness it was so fun!! Universal actually had a lot of fun rides! If you ever go you HAVE to ride the Simpsons ride and the Spiderman ride and this log ride!!

Dedication Portraits

For now all I can do is post pictures! I'm sorry I don't have time to tell any stories! Hopefully after Thanksgiving! Most of you have probably seen these on facebook, but here they are again just in case!

Harvest Fest and my Little Lions: ROAR!!

Our friend Evan

We went to our annual Harvest Fest at church that Erik is in charge of, along with a whole committee that helps him out so much. This year we had some of our sunday school classes decorate their own rooms and they turned out FANTASTIC! To those of you who were in charge and helped with this....THANK YOU! You guys are the best!!
Hadleigh and Isaac dressed up like lions this year...thanks to Mema!! They were too cute! I could not believe that they kept their "manes" on the entire night!! It was awesome! There were not any games that they could play, except we did do the cookie walk! They loved just running around, showing off and playing with all the other kids! It was so packed the ENTIRE night, from 6-8 solid! I think it was very successful and Erik did a super job putting it all together! This is his BIGGEST event of the year next to VBS!!

15 month check up

Went to the doctor today for Isaac and Hadleigh's 15 month check up! Isaac had to get 3 shots and Hadleigh had to get 2. She also informed me that they both got their Hepatitis B shot before the age of 6 months so they will need it again. I am so NOT happy about this! I am still not sure that I want them to have these dumb immunizations anyway.
Isaac weighed 22.8 pounds and is 31.25 inches TALL! All is well with him, and we scheduled his circumcision with a Urologist for November 25th! Hadleigh weighs 22 pounds and is 30 inches TALL! While the doctor was looking at her eyes she noticed that there could be mild EXOTROPIA in her left eye! So now we will schedule an appointment for her to see a pediatric ophthalmologist. Anyway, they are healthy and they also checked for anemia and their blood was good so they are eating enough fruits and veggies to get their iron!! YEAH!
Oh and after I posted this the Pediatrician called to say that our previous Doctor's office did not send all of the vaccinations over. They sent another fax around 2:00 pm with an updated vaccination form, so my kids ended up getting a vaccination TWICE. I AM SO MAD!!!
