About the name

Well some of you may be wondering...as you see I am calling him Isaac now...if that is what we are calling him. The answer is YES. It has been in the lead in the poll for a while now and that is actually the name we put on the papers that went to the lawyer. We still are unsure of the middle name. I really want to use Scott, but it may have to wait for the next boy. I feel like I should at least let Erik have a teeny tiny say so. So we are also thinking of calling him Isaac Joseph Lankford. It doesn't seem to roll off the tongue as well at first, but the more I say it the more I like it. Plus when you look at the meaning of the names it really fits him PERFECT. He is 9 months old now and smiles and laughs ALL the time. He is so happy considering where he came from and we are so BLESSED to have him in our lives. Please continue to pray for what is best for him. The countdown is on, only 6 weeks and 2 days until his trial date.

Splish Splash

So I don't know if anyone has a child who hates the bath as much as this little boy! We had been just putting him in the big bathtub and he would literally scream throughout the ENTIRE bath. It was making me so upset because we have planned our vacation for the summer at the beach and I want him to LOVE the water. So I tried something new. We put the little bathtub inside the big bathtub...thinking that maybe it would help being contained in something! At first he wasn't too sure. It was better, but he still cried a little. So last week while Erik was gone, Memaw and I were bathing Hadleigh and Isaac kept trying to crawl into the tub. So I sat him in the BIG tub...as Hadleigh was in the Little tub inside the Big tub. He just started splashing away. So as he was having his fun I slowly took off his diaper and sat him in the Little tub with Hadleigh. He was LOVING it. So we finished bathing her and this is what we got from him!

Well I made it through 1 night

Thanks for the encouragement ladies! I did make it through the first night and day without my hubby! Joey of course slept like a champ....he always does!! Hadleigh did wake up twice during the night, but I managed not to have to feed her until 6 am which is an accomplishment! She is FINALLY back to normal and actually opening her mouth so I can feed her instead of pursing her lips together and shaking her head back and forth! However I did have to pick her up early from day care today because of a HORRIBLE diaper rash from bad diapers all day! I don't know what caused this runny poop, but now I have to cancel my appointments again and keep her home! Oh well! I mean don't get me wrong I love spending as much time with my babies as I can, but I hate having to reschedule appointments! It makes me feel terrible. Anyway, tonight Memaw came over to eat dinner with us and play and help get everyone ready for bed! THANKS MEMAW! We love you!! Now they are fast asleep so I am headed for some slumber!

Home Alone

Well my husband left me tonight to go to Arizona for the Cubs Spring Training with his friend Greg. Actually they are staying in SA tonight b/c they leave SO EARLY!! Sorry Greg!! He will be gone until late Thursday night! I have been out of town once already leaving him with two infants for a whole week and will be gone again at the end of April for a week. Although that week Grandma will be in town to help! He is like SUPER DAD!! I swear! I am not sure I will make it without a nervous breakdown and NO ONE to help in the middle of the night!! YIKES!! I don't do well with no sleep!! I tend to get really GRUMPY so look out! I know he is going to have a great time and I am so thankful that he finally gets a trip away with just the "Guys" he TOTALLY deserves it! I love you honey!! Have fun on your trip and be careful!! Don't eat too many hot dogs at the ball park!

Our Day with the Ducks

Well this was our day with the ducks. Both babies woke up early therefore the time I had set aside to do their portraits would too late. But needless to say our day was packed & there was nowhere to move them so we did them anyway! SURPRISINGLY enough Joey did not scream and cry through the whole portrait sitting this time! THANK YOU LORD!! He actually did better than Hadleigh. She was sort of afraid of the ducks. As you can see Joey was not. He had the duck hanging by his neck and even tried to eat him a few times!! Thankfully the duck survived!!
